IT Sourcing Consultant

About the role

We are seeking an IT Sourcing Consultant with strong experience in IT procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading sole-source procurement processes, gathering requirements, evaluating proposals, negotiating vendor contracts, and developing risk mitigation strategies. They should be skilled in technical writing, contract development, and stakeholder communication to ensure fair pricing, clear deliverables, and long-term customer value. Knowledge of Virginia public procurement laws and VITA cloud-hosted security requirements is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a sole-sourced procurement process by working with the client team, VITA cloud solutions, and project management office, and with the vendor
• Ensure requirements are understood to negotiate a fair-priced contract with clear deliverables

Requirements

• Deep industry experience in procurement and supplier management, including cloud solutions
• Experience with contract and vendor negotiation
• Technical writing and requirements gathering skills

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Virginia public procurement laws
• Knowledge of VITA cloud-hosted security protocols and requirements
