Responsible for overseeing and maintaining the information technology infrastructure at a specific site or location within the organization and providing remote support to other facilities when needed. Focuses on day-to-day IT operations, technical support to end-users, network and system reliability, and coordination with central IT teams to implement policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and maintains site-specific infrastructure including servers, workstations, network equipment, and other hardware (e.g., switches, routers, access points, new hire equipment).
  • Troubleshoots and resolves IT-related problems reported by team members, solving moderately complex issues using resources, predefined solutions, and expertise.
  • Serves as the site’s point of contact for IT-related emergencies and participates in disaster recovery planning.
  • Conducts hardware and software inventory management for the site.
  • Collaborates with IT vendors for procurement, maintenance, and support of IT equipment and services.
  • Installs, configures, upgrades, repairs, and troubleshoots operating systems, software applications, and hardware components; coordinates equipment replacement when necessary.
  • Oversees the IT service desk ticketing system, delivering excellent customer service through timely, courteous, and diligent responses and status updates on all service requests.
  • Provides technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues promptly and assisting users in understanding and adhering to IT policies and best practices.
  • Enforces and ensures compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and IT security policies and procedures.
  • Ensures the security and integrity of data through data management practices and system updates.
  • Collaborates with the central IT team to implement network and system improvements, utilizing technical expertise to enhance IT system efficiency across the organization.
  • Develops, standardizes, and documents solutions to IT issues; ensures proper documentation for all IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
  • Prepares reports on IT activities and incidents as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the role.

  • Firm knowledge of best practices in IT administration, Microsoft O365 products/services, and ManageEngine.
  • Proven record of effectively utilizing IT incident ticketing systems to handle and prioritize requests.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suites (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), network protocols, systems security, and troubleshooting.
  • Skilled in diverse types of computer hardware, software, peripherals, components, networking protocols, and communications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • CompTIA A+ Certification.
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as SolarWinds Service Desk, ServiceNow, Zendesk, or Jira Service Management.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions

  • Work performed in a variety of conditions, including climate-controlled office environments and manufacturing plant environments with varying conditions (e.g., cold, wet, warm areas, chemicals).
  • Required to wear and work in personal protective equipment while in the manufacturing environment.
  • Noise level in the office environment is usually moderate; noise level in the manufacturing environment may exceed 85 DBA and require hearing protection.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
