IT Senior Software Engineer (Hybrid)
About the role
Eversource seeks a skilled software engineer to drive technology-based solutions and ensure compliance with quality standards. This role involves working independently with minimal supervision, managing projects, and contributing to the development of new products, processes, or standards.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement new systems and features, as well as modify and maintain existing systems.
- Engage with IT management, development teams, technical delivery teams, and vendors to ensure successful design, development, and delivery of technology-based solutions.
- Drive software change and release management processes, enhancing the maturity of the software development lifecycle.
- Manage moderately sized projects or processes with significant impact on the work area.
- May manage projects or processes with moderate impact on the achievement of discipline results.
- Communicate with parties within and outside of the organization regarding policies, procedures, and practices.
- Contribute to the development of new products, processes, or standards in operational plans to implement business strategies.
- Own functional area; major portion of application development architecture, such as entire Front-End or Back-End.
- Ensure software deliverables comply with quality standards and are completed on time.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of related experience.
- Advanced to expert knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Advanced Degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience with utility projects and Maximo system development is a bonus.

The position offers a competitive total rewards program, including a salary range of $127,350.00 - $141,500.00 annually, and the potential for incentives. Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility for these schedules is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work, and team dynamics.

$127,350.00 - $141,500.00 annually
Schedule
Hybrid schedule is offered for certain roles, with employees required to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change based on managerial discretion and work performance.
