- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software and system issues spanning multiple components, disciplines, or product generations.
- Apply sound engineering judgment to evaluate technical tradeoffs, investigate root causes, and drive issues to resolution with minimal supervision.
- Ensure software designs and development activities comply with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements for medical devices.
- Create and maintain design documentation, requirements, and test artifacts as a routine part of engineering work.
- Partner with Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet technical, regulatory, and business requirements.
- Collaborate closely with software, software quality, and hardware engineers to integrate, debug, and test system functionality.
- Participate constructively in design reviews, code reviews, and team planning; share knowledge and help teammates succeed.
- Adapt to changing team and product priorities by contributing across development, maintenance, and support activities as needed.
- Provide technical leadership when appropriate, helping guide design decisions, mentor team members, and drive technical excellence.
- Perform other duties as required.

- Strong programming skills in C and/or C++.
- Hands-on experience with Embedded Systems.
- Experience developing embedded software for ARM, TI, MSP, or similar microcontroller-based systems is required.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively on a shared codebase and collaborate with internal and external team members.
- Willingness to lead technically when needed — mentoring, reviewing, or guiding an area of the design — while remaining hands-on and team-oriented.
Skills
- Experience developing software for embedded microcontrollers.
- Knowledge of I2C, SPI, Flash, EEPROM and/or USB.
- Familiarity with communication systems and/or wireless protocols (BLE a plus).

- Understanding of RTOS and real time systems.
- Object-oriented design where applicable.
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with Agile or other SDLC practices.
Benefits
