IT & Security Generalist

About the role

Farsight is a ~40-person SaaS company building workflow automation for investment banks, private equity, hedge funds, and asset managers. The IT and Security function currently runs as a one-person role. With the company scaling towards 100 employees, we are hiring an IT & Security Generalist to grow into ownership of IT and Security, mentored directly by our Head of Information Security.

Responsibilities

• Pick up onboarding/offboarding processes
• Manage device fleet compliance
• Provide Tier 1 support
• Inventory management
• Grow into full ownership of identity management
• Endpoint management
• Security triage
• Vendor management

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional experience in an IT capacity
• Device management: Mac, Windows, mobile provisioning and MDM
• SaaS tool administration: Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, etc.
• Basic networking: Wi-Fi, VPN, firewall basics
• Security hygiene: access controls, offboarding, MFA, SSO
• User support and onboarding: setting up new hires quickly
• Basic cloud familiarity: AWS or GCP at a user level

Qualifications

Likely to be legally able to work in the US, onsite in NYC. No degree required. Curious, collaborative, reliable.

• Compensation range of $80,000–$105,000, commensurate with experience
