Responsibilities
- Designing, building, and managing test plans and strategies of multiple concurrent projects
- Serving as a subject matter expert in UWM's applications, tools, and testing/defect processes
- Following industry-standard defect management processes and ensuring proper documentation
- Collaborating with development, product, and quality engineering to ensure smooth delivery
- Conducting peer reviews of test cases to ensure rigor and consistency
- Performing manual testing and contributing to automated test creation
- Identifying opportunities to enhance and streamline testing processes
Requirements
- Must Have:
- 5+ years of experience in software testing
- Able to develop modular, reusable and maintainable tests
- Able to clearly communicate complex technical issues and solutions to non-technical audience
- Experience defining test strategy in collaboration with business stakeholders
- Experience supporting the integration of automation into CI/CD tooling
- Able to manage projects, test cases and defects effectively
- Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
- Hands-on experience with database testing or SQL
- Able to mentor less experienced team members
- Able to work 100% on-site in Pontiac, Michigan
- Nice To Have:
- Experience in the mortgage or financial services knowledge
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Information Systems
- Familiarity with K6, LoadRunner or similar performance/automation platforms
- Experience with Jira
- Experience with data product testing
Qualifications
- Available for on-call testing outside of standard schedule
- Available to work 100% on-site in Pontiac, Michigan
Skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, Agile environment
- Proficiency in software testing methodologies and tools
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts
- Experience with database testing or SQL
- Experience with automation and CI/CD tooling
