IT Purchasing and Inventory Control Specialist
About the role
The IT Purchasing and Inventory Control Specialist will assist Dornsife faculty, staff, and graduate students by providing consulting, procurement, and inventory services for all Dornsife IT assets. The specialist will also work collaboratively with the Dornsife Technology Services team to research, test, document, and implement new hardware and software assets, services, and software; utilize available university systems to procure new assets and arrange necessary logistics; update all inventory records and perform periodic inventory audits; and collect, track, and redistribute IT assets as necessary for incoming and departing employees.
Responsibilities
- Assist Dornsife faculty, staff, and graduate students with consulting, procurement, and inventory services for all Dornsife IT assets.
- Collaborate with the Dornsife Technology Services team to research, test, document, and implement new hardware and software assets, services, and software.
- Utilize available university systems to procure new assets and arrange necessary logistics.
- Update all inventory records and perform periodic inventory audits.
- Collect, track, and redistribute IT assets as necessary for incoming and departing employees.
Requirements
- Familiarity with current hardware configurations and software licensing.
- Superior communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, faculty, staff, students, and vendors in ways that foster optimal interactions and results.
Preferred Experience
- 5 Years
- Knowledge of financial and procurement processes and policies and procedures in a university environment.
- Knowledge of computerized word-processing, presentation software, spreadsheets and databases.

Pay
The hourly rate range for this position is $37.16 - $45.19. Minimum Education
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education

Minimum Field of Expertise
Minimum Field of Expertise: Prefer degree in business administration, accounting or related field. Budget experience including knowledge of procurement, government and fund accounting. Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices.
