About the role
Arthrex is a global medical device company and leader in orthopedic product development and medical education. The Infrastructure IT Project Manager will join a team that delivers enterprise-wide and global infrastructure projects, including network, cloud, data center, collaboration, and end-user computing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead, oversee, and ensure the successful delivery and management of single or multiple projects within the Information Technology division, particularly infrastructure-related projects.
- Adhere to methodology, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient and effective project execution and delivery.
- Determine project schedules by identifying deliverables, milestones, time requirements, and sequencing project elements and tasks.
- Maintain project schedules by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, and resolving obstacles throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify project phases and elements, request and allocate resources, and coordinate with interdepartmental managers for resource and technology availability.
- Utilize Workfront templates/processes and other tools for work management while following PMO methodology, standards, processes, and procedures.
- Manage financial aspects of assigned projects, including KPI reporting relative to project progress.
- Facilitate the establishment of guidelines for vendor/contractor professional services and act as a central point of contact to align their activities with project performance and financial objectives.
- Establish a clear communication strategy to provide status to key stakeholders and senior management, including RAID (risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies) and impact/constraints on scope, cost, and schedule.
- Ensure project goals align with business and stakeholder objectives.
- Benchmark project management performance to identify improvements and increase capability in project and portfolio management.
- Apply Organizational Change Management methodologies and may assume responsibilities as an Arthrex Change Agent.
- Work independently and lead project teams; lead medium and large-scale projects with full lifecycle management.
- Perform peer reviews of project documentation to ensure compliance with standards.
- Apply knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and various system and project management methodologies.
- Facilitate small and medium-scale projects with full lifecycle management.
- Improve processes and solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures.
- Assist PMO with revisions to policies, procedures, and processes governing IT project management.
- Support IT PMO leadership with the administration of PPM tools, including project and portfolio reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience required.
- Knowledge of IT Infrastructure-related technologies (Networking, Servers, Storage) required.
- Understanding of IT Disaster Recovery preferred.
