IT Project Manager
Role Overview
We are seeking an IT Project Manager to optimize our IT infrastructure and drive systems integration. This role blends hands-on technical expertise with project management, focusing on ensuring seamless communication between diverse software systems. The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver with a strong ERP background, proficiency in APIs and database management, and the ability to manage outsourced IT initiatives while addressing internal technical needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement integrations across the company's software portfolio, including a primary ERP system, a HubSpot CRM (in transition), logistics software, and clock management tools.
- Act as the primary liaison for managing outsourced IT vendors and help desk support, ensuring accountability and timely project delivery.
- Lead project management for new software implementations and IT initiatives, staying on top of timelines and deliverables.
- Perform hands-on technical tasks, including occasional IT management duties (e.g., password resets), with support from an outsourced help desk.
- Maintain and optimize a Microsoft SQL database to support business operations.
- Develop creative solutions to resolve system bottlenecks and enhance operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience with ERP systems (specific experience with the client's ERP is a plus but not required; ability to learn quickly is critical).
- Strong technical expertise in APIs, database management (Microsoft SQL), and systems integration.
- Experience managing complex IT projects and coordinating with outsourced vendors.
- Creative problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Able to balance hands-on technical work with strategic project management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to thrive in an informal, culture-focused team environment.
Work Environment & Compensation
Location: Office-based role in Harahan, LA (5 days/week with minimal flexibility due to frequent in-person collaboration needs).
Salary: $120,000-$150,000 (potentially higher for exceptional candidates).
Culture: High autonomy, minimal bureaucracy, and a focus on results. The interview process is informal, prioritizing culture fit over technical grilling.
