About the role
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead a large-scale statewide IT modernization initiative.
Responsibilities
- Manage enterprise IT projects, cross-functional teams, executive stakeholders, vendors, and complex implementations from initiation through successful delivery.
- Create project roadmaps and portfolio planning.
- Develop business cases, cost-benefit analysis, and market analysis.
- Deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Lead project planning, risk management, scheduling, quality assurance, testing, communications, and stakeholder management.
- Use Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office.
- Show excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
Requirements
- 7+ years of IT Project Management experience.
- 5+ years managing multiple large, complex enterprise programs/projects.
- 7+ years creating project roadmaps and portfolio planning.
- 5+ years developing business cases, cost-benefit analysis, and market analysis.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Strong experience with project planning, risk management, scheduling, quality assurance, testing, communications, and stakeholder management.
- 7+ years of experience with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
Qualifications
- PMP Certification (preferred).
- North Carolina State Government experience (mandatory).
- Public Health domain experience (preferred).
- Experience leading statewide IT implementations (preferred).
- Legacy system modernization and data migration experience (preferred).
- Experience collaborating with State and Local Government agencies (preferred).
