About the Role

The IT Product Owner I is a hands-on role that oversees the development and maintenance of assigned corporate, operations and/or dealer applications under the guidance of senior team members. This role is with GST's Integrations Team and blends technical delivery with strong relationship-building. In addition to driving technical outcomes, the role plays a key part in connecting people and systems, fostering collaboration between technical and business teams. A major focus will be on facilitating clear, effective communication to ensure alignment and shared success across all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders
  • Support backlog management by helping to organize, prioritize, and track development tasks
  • Work closely with developers, testers, and business analysts to understand technical solutions
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Assist in writing user stories and acceptance criteria for product enhancements
  • Conduct basic testing and validation of product features to ensure business needs are met
  • Provide basic application support, troubleshooting minor issues, and escalating complex problems
  • Learn and document business processes related to parts operations applications
  • Support release and patch management activities
  • Maintain clear communication with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 2-4 years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, or related IT roles
  • Experience with .NET, Boomi, backend architecture or SAP Preferred
  • Basic understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
  • Familiarity with IT product development and software lifecycle processes

Pay

Schedule

This position requires minimal travel up to 20% of the time on a domestic basis.
