IT Product Owner I
About the Role
The IT Product Owner I is a hands-on role that oversees the development and maintenance of assigned corporate, operations and/or dealer applications under the guidance of senior team members. This role is with GST's Integrations Team and blends technical delivery with strong relationship-building. In addition to driving technical outcomes, the role plays a key part in connecting people and systems, fostering collaboration between technical and business teams. A major focus will be on facilitating clear, effective communication to ensure alignment and shared success across all stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders
- Support backlog management by helping to organize, prioritize, and track development tasks
- Work closely with developers, testers, and business analysts to understand technical solutions
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Assist in writing user stories and acceptance criteria for product enhancements
- Conduct basic testing and validation of product features to ensure business needs are met
- Provide basic application support, troubleshooting minor issues, and escalating complex problems
- Learn and document business processes related to parts operations applications
- Support release and patch management activities
- Maintain clear communication with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 2-4 years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, or related IT roles
- Experience with .NET, Boomi, backend architecture or SAP Preferred
- Basic understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
- Familiarity with IT product development and software lifecycle processes

Schedule
