IT/OT Infrastructure Engineer

This position – and all positions – with the INEOS Oxide US organization requires that the incumbent commit to learning, following, and practicing INEOS 20 Principles of Process & Behavioral Safety as applicable to the position. These Principles are posted throughout each Oxide facility, and each employee must also commit to following INEOS’ Life-Saving rules on a daily basis. Responsibilities
- Supports the technical components of the company’s internal computing environment for IT as well as OT systems, including networks, servers, communication systems, protocols, hardware, operating systems, firewalls, etc.
- Assists the global INEOS Oxide teams in developing strategic plans for the technical environment.
- Demonstrates a desire to identify and address root causes and influences the establishment of new procedures within their functions to optimize performance.
- Supports the development and sharing of best practices within the local organization.
- Determines priorities and may deviate from established procedures as long as objectives are met.
- Maintains regular reporting to appropriate levels of management and takes a leadership role in IT/OT infrastructure and project initiatives.
Skills/Competencies
- Bachelor of Science degree in a computer-related field, or 10 years of specific experience.
- Certification in one or more networking or back-office technologies.
- Good knowledge of Active Directory services (DNS, DHCP, GPO).
- Network Administration and Network Infrastructure management skills.
- Advanced technical skills in most of the following areas:
- Digital security technologies
- Design and implementation of LANs and WANs
- TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP
- Client / Server management (Windows 11, Server 2019 and higher)
- Active Directory and Group Policy management
- Backup and restore systems (Veeam or equivalent)
- Deployment of service packs, hotfixes, and system updates
- Disaster recovery planning and implementation
- Telecommunication systems
- Scripting and automation
- Virtual server environments (VMware, Hyper-V, AHV)
- Experience with a variety of vendor products such as Honeywell, Aspen, VMware, and Cisco.
- Network administration, engineering, and troubleshooting expertise.
- Firewall, switch, and router configuration and management.
- Network monitoring tools and technologies.
- Network, virtual, cyber, and physical security expertise.
- Problem Solving & Delivery: Diagnose and resolve technical or process issues and evaluate business impact; propose alternative solutions when required.
- Process, Collaboration & Leadership: Solid understanding of ITIL processes and ITSM procedures; maintain regular reporting to appropriate levels of management; take a leadership role in IT/OT infrastructure and project initiatives.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and perform tasks requiring repetitive use of hands. The employee must occasionally walk, stand, and travel by car, airplane or other means. Exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Employee must have the ability to see written documents, computer screens, and to adjust focus. Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make discriminations in sound.
Work Environment
This job is performed mainly in a temperature-controlled office environment.
