IT Operations Technology Specialist

Daily Functions

Supports operation technology systems on the shop floor in collaboration with local maintenance and IT.

Directly administers and supervises OT applications & systems that are not under third-party support or collaborates with third-party vendors on those subjects.

Participates actively in new projects.

Serves as the primary point of contact for IT Operations Manager Customer Relationship and for Operations personnel regarding all application issues, projects, and new requirements.

Key Accountabilities

• Makes suggestions for improvements to the OT design (hardware and software).
• Trains IT staff and users on specific OT applications and systems, sharing best practices.
• Involves in all IT projects where OT is involved, acting as an IT representative during the project preparation phase with the business.
• Aids the business with technical issues related to OT.
• Involves in IT processes such as Incident and Major Incident Management, Problem Management, etc.

Knowledge/Experience/Skills

• Good understanding of OT systems.
• Overall knowledge of manufacturing systems like SCADA, MES, PLC, etc.
• Desired experience in PLC or SCADA programming.
• Overview of IT systems used in production environments (AD, MS-SQL, application servers).
