IT Operations Specialist

About the role

The IT Operations Specialist will support the Technical Operations (TechOps) team within a real-time Fusion Center environment, focusing on documenting, analyzing, and improving technical workflows that support live operations.

Responsibilities

• Document, analyze, and improve technical workflows that support live operations
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements, enhance operational efficiency, and create clear technical documentation that supports mission-critical systems
• Shadow and document live operational workflows, system dependencies, and technical interactions
• Map technical processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational bottlenecks
• Partner with Operations, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams to streamline workflows and improve operational processes
• Develop clear technical documentation, process maps, and recommendations for continuous improvement
• Communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

• Strong technical documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Hands-on experience in at least two of the following: Windows workstation support, Real-time operations or command center environments, TCP/IP networking or systems administration, Web application or infrastructure troubleshooting, Mission-critical operations supporting real-time systems
• Ability to pass a background check to work within a secure facility

Bonus Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant technical experience
• Experience working in a NOC, SOC, Fusion Center, or other 24/7 operations environment
• Familiarity with monitoring tools, cloud diagnostics, or automation platforms
• Experience collaborating with DevOps or infrastructure teams

Commitment

This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt. It will be onsite and available to candidates who are local to the Scottsdale, AZ area.
