Job Description

Are you an IT professional with experience managing physical and virtual servers? Do you want to make a significant impact? Join our team at DEW as an Infrastructure Manager within IT Operations. This role involves administering, developing, and supporting the agency's infrastructure, including Windows, cloud-based systems, networks, and resolving operational issues. You'll install, troubleshoot, implement, integrate, secure, and develop strategies for the data center, network, VMware environment, and physical servers. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing physical and virtual server installation, configuration, and support.
• Evaluating, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing the server environment.
• Streamlining agency's computing needs and planning for cloud-based technology.
• Ensuring network and reliability across the state.
• Building and administering disaster recovery/business continuity programs.
• Developing a project management approach for communication with various departments.
• Ensuring continuous improvement of the Infrastructure team through regular assessments.
• Integrating data privacy and system security compliance into the Infrastructure team's function.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, information technology, mathematics, statistics, management information science, or a related field, with relevant experience substituting for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
• Knowledge of planning programs and work activities in an information technology environment.
• Ability to plan, organize, direct, and review the work of technical personnel.
