IT Manager, Platforms

About the role
We’re looking for an IT Manager (Platforms) to work closely with technical peers, internal business contacts, and external clients to develop, design, and continuously improve the ERP backbone for successful business. This role requires a solid understanding of SAP, strong knowledge of solutions and configuration options, understanding of integration points, and knowledge of our business processes. The position demands strong communication and organizational skills as well as a follow-through mentality.
Responsibilities
- Implement new customer projects and change requests for Arvato with direct interaction with internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Manage the implementation lifecycle across platform applications, including gathering requirements, process analysis, designing, implementing solutions, deployment, documentation, training, and supporting users.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with business, operations, and clients to drive optimization, productivity, and meet business needs.
- Work on end-to-end SCM processes with a deep understanding of the complex 3PL IT landscape and integration with clients.
- Contribute to the global IT team responsible for process alignment across all regions for clients.
- Provide supervisory and people management for the Platforms team within the U.S.
- Responsible for estimates, budget, and IT costs for the area of responsibility.
- Proactively identify problematic issues (data or process) and work with the necessary individuals to resolve them.
- Gather details on new IT systems issues from business users, categorize them accurately, and address them in a timely manner.
- Provide high-quality support in all areas of the operation with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Work independently in an international environment with strong relationship management and collaboration skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a closely related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 5+ years of support/implementation experience required.
- 3+ years of experience managing integration to SAP.
- 1+ years of experience in a people management or leadership role.
- SAP R/3 experience required; S/4 Hana experience preferred.
- Experience with RF Gun/Mobisys (mobile application), IDoc’s (EDI), or QM is a plus.
- ITIL certification preferred.
