Initialized Capital is seeking an IT Manager to join our team in El Segundo, CA.
About the role
We are looking for a hands-on IT Manager who will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our technology infrastructure, ensuring seamless support for our team and portfolio companies. This role requires a mix of technical expertise, leadership, and problem-solving skills to manage systems, security, and user support in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain all IT systems, including hardware, software, networks, and cloud services.
- Manage user support, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical issues for employees and portfolio companies.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure security, compliance, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to manage contracts, upgrades, and integrations.
- Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and lead IT projects to enhance infrastructure.
- Ensure data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans are in place and tested regularly.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on IT tools, security awareness, and best practices.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends to recommend innovative solutions that align with business goals.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in IT management or a similar role, with a strong technical background.
- Proficiency in managing Windows and macOS environments, as well as cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
- Experience with network administration, including firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, including endpoint protection, encryption, and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with IT service management tools (e.g., Jira, Zendesk, or ServiceNow) and remote support tools.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
