About the role

As a PROJECT - Security Engineer III on the Cyber Engineering team, you will provide programmatic, technical, and cybersecurity support to Navy information technology transformation and integration efforts across multiple projects.

• Conduct strategic assessments, requirements and gap analysis, readiness and risk evaluations, and operational transition planning
• Partner with engineering, acquisition, and operational teams to translate mission needs into actionable requirements and practical solution approaches
• Support operational cybersecurity activities, including vulnerability analysis, Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) remediation planning, and cyber risk resolution
• Serve as a liaison to FLTCYBERCOM and other Navy stakeholders to support integration, issue resolution, and mission-focused delivery for Cyber Protection Teams, Deployable Mission Support Systems, and Joint Cyber Hunt Kits

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
• Active Top Secret security clearance required with SCI eligibility
• Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
• Must be local to Suffolk, VA and able to come onsite 5 days a week
• 5+ years of experience supporting cybersecurity, systems engineering, or information technology programs
• 5+ years of experience conducting requirements analysis, gap analysis, risk assessments, readiness evaluations, or operational transition planning
• 3+ years of experience supporting Department of Defense, or federal information technology or cybersecurity initiatives
• 5+ years of experience with vulnerability analysis, Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) remediation planning, and cyber risk resolution

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this role in Virginia is $102,800 to $171,300. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
