Job Responsibility
Maintains, designs, implements, and supports the corporate infrastructure by identifying requirements, installing upgrades, troubleshooting, and monitoring performance.
Job Duties
- Manages, maintains, and architectures storage, virtualized environment, servers, network devices (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS), telecommunications, and productivity tools.
- Performs network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
- Maintains system availability and reliability by monitoring performance issues and proactively ensuring system availability.
- Trends and capacity plans system resource utilization.
- Provides Tier-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues for internal and external customers.
- Works as a technical consultant on projects, representing the infrastructure team.
- Ensures awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure by following established configuration and change management policies.
- Selects and implements security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security team.
- Maintains necessary project plans and documentation of all system builds and modifications.
- Interacts and coordinates with vendors, suppliers, distributors, and contract consultants to ensure services received meet expected requirements.
- Manages project management and implementation of corporate infrastructure capex projects with limited supervision.
- Is available for emergencies and works independently, being attentive to details and able to multi-task while working under pressure.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Baccalaureate Degree in Computer Science/Technology
- 5 years of infrastructure and network experience in a corporate environment
