IT Infrastructure Engineer

We are partnering with a growing organization in the Somerville area to add an Infrastructure Engineer to their IT Operations team. This role offers the opportunity to work across cloud, networking, security, and on-prem infrastructure while driving initiatives around Zero Trust architecture and modern workplace technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support multi-site infrastructure across branch offices, HQ, and Azure
• Manage and enhance networking environments including firewalls, VPNs, switches, and wireless infrastructure
• Support Microsoft 365 and Azure technologies including Entra ID, Intune, and Defender
• Maintain VMware and enterprise storage environments
• Act as a senior escalation point and mentor junior team members
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve reliability, scalability, and security

Requirements

• 5+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience
• Strong Microsoft 365 and Azure administration experience
• Hands-on networking experience (LAN/WAN/Wireless)
• Experience with VMware and on-prem infrastructure
• Fortinet, Aruba, and/or Ubiquiti experience preferred
• Relevant Microsoft, Aruba, or Fortinet certifications are a plus
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Schedule

• Fully onsite for the first 90 days
• Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote) thereafter
