IT Help Desk Lab Tech Apprentice
About the role
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern to join their team. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience within the OIT office by helping students, staff, and faculty with troubleshooting computer equipment including hardware and software issues.
Responsibilities
- Aid students with troubleshooting computer equipment including hardware and software issues
- Help set up equipment and demonstrations for student labs as part of academic coursework
- Work with other Ivy Tech staff to address hardware and software needs on campus issued laptops and equipment
- Set up equipment for staff use, ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software
- Troubleshoot incoming calls and help tickets, and work with IT Help Desk staff to devise a plan of action to help staff and students
- Create and maintain documentation as requested of supervisor

Qualifications
- Desired holiday + break work schedule: Flexible to the student’s schedule (Monday – Friday)
- Location: Bloomington Campus
- Schedule: Traditional hours of operation for the business/department: Start: 8:00a, End: 5:00p, Days of the week for the student to come in for work: Flexible to the student’s schedule (Monday – Friday), Hours within the working day for student to come in for work: Flexible to the student’s schedule (Monday – Friday)

Pay
Hourly Rate: $15.75
Schedule
