IT Field Technician

Position Summary

We are seeking a PC Technician to provide hands-on hardware and end-user support across multiple sites within Montclair, NJ. This role is responsible for Chromebook distribution and troubleshooting, smartboard support, password resets, and general Level 1 technical support. Candidates must be comfortable traveling between sites throughout the day and have a valid driver's license.

Technician Functions

• Chromebook distribution
• Troubleshoot Chromebook connectivity
• Smartboard connectivity and configuration
• Student and staff password reset
• End point connectivity
• Other light Level 1 troubleshooting and support

Requirements

• Valid driver's license required; must be able to travel to different sites within Montclair, NJ.
• Experience supporting Chromebooks required.
• Experience with smartboard setup and connectivity.
• Familiarity with basic network/endpoint connectivity troubleshooting.
• Experience performing user account and password resets (e.g., Active Directory or similar).
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to support both students and staff.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently across multiple locations.
