IT Field Support Specialist

T-Rex has been tracking a recent trend of job offer scams. These scams start with an unsolicited email or LinkedIn message from a fake or impersonated recruiter that states the candidate meets a skillset that the recruiter is looking for. That is often followed up with a false screening questionnaire and even an interview for the nonexistent position. After this, the candidate receives an official-looking job offer. In some cases, there is also a request for a large payment to acquire office equipment, such as a laptop. The scammer tells the victim that they will be reimbursed for the purchase of the office equipment, but of course this never happens.

About the role

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
• Contribute to the design and development of new features
• Participate in code reviews and pair programming sessions

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks
• Perform unit testing and integration testing to ensure code quality
• Work closely with product managers and designers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Document code and provide clear, concise comments for future reference

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 2+ years of professional software development experience
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript)
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Passion for learning and staying updated with the latest technologies and industry trends

Skills

• Knowledge of agile methodologies and iterative development processes

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually
