Position Overview
SUMMARY
Provides on-site technical support to all CH locations, resolving hardware, software, networking, telecom, and enterprise application issues in person.
Responsible for break/fix support, IT asset deployment, hardware troubleshooting, and on-site problem resolution, ensuring seamless IT operations across hospital, clinical, and office environments.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent work experience in IT support roles may be considered.
- Experience: One years' prior experience in IT desktop support, break/fix, or hardware troubleshooting is a plus.
- Required: CompTIA A+ (must be obtained within 6 months of hire).
- Preferred: ITIL Foundation, Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator, Network+
Knowledge and Skills
- Basic knowledge of desktop hardware, printers, network configurations, peripherals, and telecom systems.
- Ability to install, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows and macOS devices.
- Familiarity with telecom support including VoIP phone setup, troubleshooting call quality, and softphone applications.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, user access management, and IT security policies.
- Strong problem-solving and hands-on troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent customer service skills when working with users in person.
Essential Functions
- Provides on-site technical support and troubleshooting for IT-related issues.
- Installs, configures, and repairs PCs, laptops, printers, peripherals, and telecom hardware.
- Troubleshoots network connectivity issues (wired & wireless) and VoIP phone system issues.
- Supports audio-visual and media equipment setup for meetings and events.
- Affords assistance with IT asset deployment, workstation setups, and hardware relocations.
- Responds to urgent IT service requests in hospital and office settings.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Frequent physical demands include: Sitting, Reaching forward, Wrist position deviation, Pinching/fine motor activities, Talk or Hear.
- Occasional physical demands include: Standing, Walking, Climbing (e.g., stairs or ladders), Carry objects, Push/Pull, Twisting, Bending, Reaching overhead, Squat/kneel/crawl.
- Continuous physical demands include: Keyboard use/repetitive motion, Lifting Floor to Waist 15 lbs., Lifting Waist Level and Above 15 lbs.
