About the role
The organization is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support a modernization effort. Key responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing CI/CD pipelines, designing and managing automated workflows, and integrating DevSecOps practices.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, enhance, and support CI/CD pipeline components for production implementation.
- Design and manage automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Monitor pipeline health and troubleshoot deployment issues.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions.
- Support containerized application deployment.
- Manage cloud infrastructure using AWS services.
- Implement monitoring and alerting capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Document system configurations and operational procedures.
- Provide on-call support.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with a BS/BA degree; 3+ years with an MS/MA degree; or 0+ years with a PhD.
- Proven experience supporting and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in enterprise environments.
- Expert-level proficiency with AWS services and cloud-native architectures.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code technologies.
- Proficiency with containerization and orchestration technologies.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
- Proficiency with at least one programming language.
- Experience with DevSecOps practices.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship may be required for specific projects.
- AWS DevSecOps Engineer certification.
- Additional AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, Developer).
- Experience with large-scale or federal enterprise environments.
- Experience with compliance frameworks.
- Experience with zero-downtime or blue/green deployments.
- Familiarity with GitOps practices.
- Experience with configuration management tools.
- Knowledge of secure network architectures and IAM best practices.
