Role: IT EngineerLocation: On-siteJob Type: ContractPayout: Competitive, based on experience Role Overview:We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Sr IT Engineer- Tanium Administrator to work on a contract basis. The role involves managing and optimizing Tanium infrastructure to support critical IT operations. Responsibilities include maintaining system health, implementing security policies, and troubleshooting performance issues. Key Responsibilities:• Design, deploy, and maintain Tanium endpoints, sensors, and packages across enterprise environments.• Monitor and troubleshoot Tanium server performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.• Develop and enforce Tanium security policies to align with organizational compliance requirements.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Tanium with other IT management tools.• Provide Tier 3 support for Tanium-related incidents and escalate unresolved issues as needed. Required Skills & Qualifications:• Minimum 5 years of experience administering Tanium platforms in large-scale environments.• Hands-on expertise in Tanium Endpoint Management, Tanium Threat Response, and Tanium Discover.• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation tasks.• Strong understanding of Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems and troubleshooting methods.• Experience with IT security frameworks, vulnerability management, and endpoint protection solutions.• Familiarity with network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint security tools.• Ability to analyze system logs, performance metrics, and security alerts for root cause identification.• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on proactive system maintenance and improvement.
