Position Summary The IT Technician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, and network issues for Windows-based computers and servers. This role provides on-site and remote technical support to clients, ensuring systems remain secure, reliable, and operating at peak performance. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair Windows desktops, laptops, and servers (Windows Server 2016/2019/2022/2025)Perform routine maintenance including updates, patching, and system health checksTroubleshoot network connectivity, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 issuesRespond to support tickets and provide timely resolution to end-user issuesInstall, configure, and deploy hardware, software, and peripheralsDocument all service activity, solutions, and client interactions in the ticketing and documentation systemsAssist with onboarding/offboarding of users and devicesSupport cybersecurity best practices including endpoint protection and patch management Requirements Location: Columbus, Bloomington, client sites Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Employment Type: Full-time Availability: Immediate What We Are Looking For 1+ years of experience in IT support or a similar technical roleStrong working knowledge of Windows 11 and Windows Server environmentsFamiliarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group PolicyBasic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VPNs, switches, routers)Excellent problem-solving and customer service skillsValid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites Preferred CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certificationExperience with Microsoft 365 administrationFamiliarity with remote support tools and PSA/RMM platformsPowerShell scripting experience Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move computer equipment up to 50 lbsReliable transportation for on-site client visits Salary Based on experience and training Salary Description $45,000 - $50,000
