Job Summary
The Deskside Support Technician is responsible for providing general technical support to all users of the organization's computer systems.
Responsibilities
- Ordering and installing desktop hardware and software
- Software support
- Telcom support
- System configuration
- Troubleshooting problems
- Maintaining inventories
- Providing hardware repairs and maintenance
- Upgrading systems
- Arranging for cabling and communication lines
- Coordination of services with other Information Technology staff
Requirements
- A personal vehicle for use during working hours
- Support coverage 24 hours per day, 7 days per week
- Shift coverage and on-call coverage may be required
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or formal technical training or equivalent experience
- Valid Vermont driver’s license and safe driving record
- Minimum of 3 years’ IT experience
