The Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) is a Department of War organization dedicated to accelerating the adoption of commercial technology in the military and fostering the national security innovation base.

About the role

We are actively recruiting for an IT/Cybersecurity Specialist position. This role leads the design, implementation, and management of enterprise IT infrastructure, coordinates comprehensive risk analysis for target applications, systems, and network environments, and manages the continual monitoring, lifecycle, and assessment of both enterprise IT services and Cyber assurance programs.

Responsibilities

  • Ledesign, implementation, and management of enterprise IT infrastructure
  • Cumprehensive risk analysis for target applications, systems, and network environments
  • Continual monitoring, lifecycle, and assessment of both enterprise IT services and Cyber assurance programs
  • Systems administration, cloud architecture integration, IT service delivery, and Assess & Authorize (A&A) activities
  • Optimize system availability, performance, and inform decision-making for the Authorizing Official
  • Oversee network operations, infrastructure scalability, software deployments, and data integrity
  • Actively analyze the threat environment to mitigate risks to mission execution
  • Support the development of comprehensive IT strategies, systems modernization plans, and cyberspace policies

Requirements

  • Experience in IT/Cybersecurity
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture trends and cybersecurity landscape
  • Ability to manage risk analysis and compliance
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Experience with cloud architecture and IT service delivery
  • Understanding of A&A activities and network operations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
