IT Coding Teacher Specilized in Cybersecurity

Remote / online teaching position for children and teenagers.

Responsibilities

• Teach coding, programming, and basic-to-intermediate cybersecurity concepts
• Create engaging and interactive online lessons
• Introduce students to programming languages, problem-solving, and computational thinking
• Teach cybersecurity awareness, online safety, ethical hacking concepts, and security fundamentals appropriate for students' age
• Guide students through coding projects and hands-on activities
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain an engaging, positive, and student-friendly virtual classroom

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of coding/programming fundamentals
• Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, C#, HTML/CSS, or Scratch
• Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals, including online security, networks, privacy, ethical hacking concepts, and common cyber threats
• Teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or training experience is highly preferred
• Experience teaching children or teenagers is an advantage
• Good English communication and presentation skills
• Comfortable conducting classes through online platforms
• Reliable computer, stable internet connection, webcam, and headset
• Patient, creative, enthusiastic, and able to explain technical concepts in a simple and engaging way
• Willing to prepare lessons and activities based on students' skill levels

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (advantage)
• Cybersecurity certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CEH, or equivalent (advantage)
• Programming or software development certifications (advantage)
• Experience with Roblox Studio, Minecraft Education, Scratch, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar educational technologies (advantage)
• Experience teaching web development, game development, AI, or robotics (advantage)
• Experience conducting project-based coding lessons (advantage)

Pay

Starting rate: $8–$10 per 45-minute class. The rate may depend on qualifications, teaching experience, technical expertise, and performance.
