About the Role
The Trainer is responsible for supporting instructional design and delivering effective training programs aligned with adult learning principles. This role assists in course development, classroom preparation, and LMS coordination while observing and facilitating training sessions. The Trainer engages learners through assessments and interactive delivery tailored to role-based workflows, maintains up-to-date system knowledge, and supports training environment setup and eLearning initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Instructional Design: With support, modify/edit content to contribute to the development of effective training programs while adhering to established standardized template formats.
- Training Preparation: With support, demonstrate organizational skills in classroom preparation, training environment setup, course materials, parking lot coordination, and testing necessary equipment prior to training activity.
- Instructor Training: With support, deliver training across various IT software application systems using a blended approach (instructor-led, in-service/demo, virtual, or one-on-one).
- Learner Assessment: With assistance, engage with learners through interaction, course assessment, and evaluation.
- Training Approach & Delivery: With assistance, deliver training based on actual content while applying time management skills and cadence to the unique learning needs of the audience. Relate to learner roles and their day-to-day application.
- Customer Service: Demonstrate excellent customer service at all times.
- Knowledge: Achieve and maintain up-to-date application knowledge.
- Training Environment Build: Assist with limited training environment tasks specific to maintenance and administration.
- Training Coordination: Understand advanced functionality in LMS administration, setup, and maintenance. Assist with scheduling training resources based on operational roles for new hires, ad-hoc, and pre-implementation.
- Projects: Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects along with day-to-day work.
- eLearning Design: With support, gather requirements for eLearning design requests and contribute to mapping/storyboard design.
- Leadership: Prepare and present substantial portions at meetings.
- Attitude: Maintain a positive attitude, welcome and incorporate feedback, and show appreciation for colleagues, patients, partners, and customers consistently.
- Teamwork: Demonstrate great teamwork, share information with others, be responsive with all communications/deliverables, collaborate with the team to resolve open issues, and anticipate the needs of colleagues.
- Service Delivery: Take personal ownership of issues, ensure high accuracy with all communications/deliverables, complete tasks according to committed timelines, demonstrate excellent service recovery, and communicate with customers consistently.
- Service Management: Actively monitor assigned HEAT tickets, document activities thoroughly, and resolve issues within established service levels consistently.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of prior experience in a training & development capacity (e.g., hands-on experience developing/delivering training programs, feedback assessment).
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or field of study (Training & Development, Business Management, Human Resources, etc.).
Experience with Epic Systems and Workday preferred.
