About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on IT and Business Systems Manager to lead day-to-day technology operations for our team at Rently and oversee our core business platforms. This role requires someone who is equally comfortable resolving deskside issues and collaborating with departments to make informed system change decisions. Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations, you will manage IT operations for U.S. Rently employees and direct the administration of Salesforce and NetSuite through platform specialists. Strong IT management instincts, sound business judgment, and curiosity to understand processes before modifying them are essential.

Responsibilities

  • IT and End-User Operations:
    • Own the technology experience for Rently staff, ensuring smooth operations.
    • Provide hands-on deskside support and manage onboarding, offboarding, access, and licensing for U.S. employees, collaborating with IT counterparts in India and China.
    • Manage the Halo ITSM ticket queue, monitor trends, set priorities, and drive issue resolution.
    • Serve as the escalation point for AI-assisted first-tier support and continuously improve runbooks and automation.
    • Administer core tools: Google Workspace, JumpCloud SSO, SentinelOne, and Mac/Windows endpoints.
    • Manage office and conference-room technology.
  • Business Systems and Process:
    • Direct Salesforce and NetSuite platforms through their administrators and guide business decisions on system changes.
    • Own the intake process for system requests, evaluate business impact, and recommend changes or rejections based on cost-benefit analysis.
    • Determine the appropriate tool (Salesforce, NetSuite, or custom application) for each need and present clear recommendations.
    • Help administrators prioritize tasks and ensure clean data flow between CRM and ERP systems.
  • Vendor, Licensing, and AI Governance:
    • Manage vendor relationships, contract reviews, and renewals; audit usage and optimize licenses and spending.
    • Enforce AI governance policy, maintain approved tools, and support policy development with the Director of Operations.
    • Support SOC 2 and ISO 27001/27701 compliance efforts.

Requirements

  • 4+ years managing IT or end-user support, including experience as a manager or team lead.
  • Strong technical skills with hands-on experience resolving deskside and endpoint issues.
  • Experience managing SaaS tools in a cloud-first environment without traditional data centers.
  • Proven experience administering Google Workspace and identity/SSO solutions (JumpCloud, Okta, etc.).
  • Ability to analyze ROI, defend trade-off decisions, and scale back or decline low-value projects with data-driven reasoning.
  • Clear written and verbal communication bridging technical and business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Practical use of AI for diagnosing, automating, or building solutions.
  • Experience building lightweight internal applications or dashboards with AI tools or eagerness to learn.
  • Experience partnering with Finance, Sales, or Customer Support on CRM, ERP, or billing process changes.
  • Ability to evaluate platform requests by distinguishing configurations from core architecture decisions.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and NetSuite as a manager and awareness of iPaaS tools like Celigo.
  • Exposure to SOC 2, ISO 27001, or end-to-end SSO/migration projects.
