About the role

The Sr. IT Business Systems Analyst drives initiatives of all sizes across the Business Function. You are a self-starting individual with an aptitude for creative and critical thinking, using your business expertise to collaborate with partners and implement positive change. You envision solutions that follow good data design and create insightful data visualizations to drive impactful business decisions. You balance tradeoffs between development time, usability, and performance needs, and collaborate cross-functionally with business and IT peers to nurture positive, professional relationships.

CF Industries has a cloud-first IT Strategy, with investments in SAP, Salesforce, Workday, Azure, ServiceNow, and Tableau. The role involves integrating business units across these platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead solutions through the system's life cycle from inception to go-live and beyond.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business needs and deliver creative solutions.
  • Deliver functional and technical requirements to development teams.
  • Provide insightful data visualizations and reporting to drive impactful business decisions.
  • Lead projects in consultation with IT Security, Infrastructure Team, Business Owners, and Vendors, ensuring stakeholder alignment.
  • Ensure deliverables are completed in accordance with Project Management methodology, with clear and frequent communication of status.
  • Influence the future of business systems by engaging in system/product selection and evaluation.
  • Define scope and strategy for quality assurance to maintain current and reliable business systems.
  • Manage operational activities on projects and enhancements, including monitoring resource needs, preparing documentation, status reports, and change controls.
  • Analyze the overall health of business systems through system issue tracking and cross-functional alignment.
  • Establish and implement processes to meet departmental internal controls requirements.
  • Work with Internal Controls Department to identify deficiencies and develop corrective actions.
  • Determine strategy and user requirements for PI data resources, Asset Performance Management (GE APM, UptimeAI), and drawing/document management systems.
  • Consult, advise, and design data architecture solutions using the PI system.
  • Lead a large group of stakeholders to improve an in-house material balancing solution based on the Osisoft/Aveva PI system.
  • Maintain policies and procedures for corporate/site PI data resources, ensuring effective use, security, and control.
  • Provide transition guidance from high-level concepts to implementation strategies.
  • Manage assigned projects with excellent oral and written communication, organization, and time management skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of related professional work experience.
  • Self-starter with strong communication skills for leadership across the enterprise.
  • Experience in change management and participation in change boards.
  • Knowledge of systems capabilities and business operations, specifically with Osisoft/Aveva PI System (PI Archive, PI Asset Framework, PI Universal File Loader).
  • Intermediate knowledge of .Net C# and basic understanding of material balancing.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Azure DevOps, and Project Management.
  • 5+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing, refining, or power generation (a plus).
  • Business test planning/coordination experience.
  • Extensive current technology knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to learn, demonstrate, and apply business knowledge to improve solutions and processes.

Pay

The estimated base pay for this position ranges from $99,500 to $139,900. Actual pay may vary based on education, training, skills, qualifications, competencies, years of experience, job-related knowledge, and scope of the role.

An incentive program is available for full-time employees.
