We are seeking an extremely motivated, self-starting specialist to provide technical support for a fast-paced work environment. This role is ideal for someone looking to support and optimize IT systems, infrastructure, and business operations in a professional setting, apply technical expertise to solve complex problems, and make a direct impact on organizational efficiency and security. As an IT & Business Operations Specialist, you will take ownership of IT operations, lead technical initiatives, and expand your skillset while contributing as a valued team member.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming IT requests and issues related to computer systems, software, hardware, and access to relevant business applications.
- Lead IT orientation sessions for new employees and oversee the offboarding process for end-user assets and accounts.
- Set up and support AV systems in conference rooms, including for client-level meetings.
- Support special projects related to hardware and software enhancements and troubleshooting.
- Act as the primary internal contact between PLUS and parent company IT team to address user needs and maintain IT compliance standards.
- Provide ad hoc operational support across the organization as needed.
Requirements
- 3-4 years of help desk experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical certifications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and related tools).
- Experience with service ticket management systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk, or similar).
- Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a positive, can-do attitude.
- High-level verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable working and communicating with individuals at all levels and with various vendors and contacts outside of the firm.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while managing multiple concurrent requests and projects.
- Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Work independently on IT projects with minimal supervision while remaining adaptable to environmental changes and communicating technical updates effectively across all organizational levels.
