IT Business Analyst / Scrum Master

We are looking for a Business Analyst who will also serve as the ScrumMaster on campaign finance-related projects, leveraging tools like Monday.com and/or JIRA. This role requires on-site/in-person work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The ideal candidate will have a mentor-oriented approach, supporting the long-term success of the business area and fostering an Agile mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Document clear, unambiguous, and testable business requirements using standard templates.
  • Create test plans with the business and establish repeatable processes beyond the current project lifecycle.
  • Document repeatable technical steps and processes to support maintenance planning.
  • Facilitate requirements-gathering meetings with stakeholders to identify impacted business processes and document project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain the project backlog during Agile projects, working with the Product Owner to establish priorities.
  • Monitor the requirements process to maintain alignment with project objectives and scope.
  • Ensure appropriate stakeholder inclusion and awareness regarding data requirements and information governance objectives.
  • Support resolution of critical IT issues related to the Business Analyst role.
  • Assess the impact of changes to project scope or business requirements on project-specific benefits.
  • Ensure BA-owned SEM deliverables are completed, reviewed, and approved in alignment with area processes.
  • Collaborate with project teams and vendor partners (UI/UX, solution architects, database administrators, developers, QA testers) to ensure understanding of requirements, functionality, size, and scalability of IT solutions.
  • Examine existing and future-state business processes, data, and systems with project teams and stakeholders to support requirements gathering.

Requirements

  • 5 years of Business Analyst experience.
  • 5 years of Quality Assurance knowledge.
  • 5 years of Agile tool experience, including creating epics, features, user stories, and managing project lifecycles.
  • 5 years of understanding BA, QA, and DEV roles and responsibilities.
  • 5 years of experience with as-is/to-be processes and content creation.
  • 3 years of experience creating product roadmaps.
  • 3 years of familiarity with Project Management Methodologies/Agile.
  • 3 years of proficiency with BA tools such as Figma and Visio.
  • Experience with Monday.com and/or JIRA, with heavy usage in the ScrumMaster role.
  • Ability to work on-site/in person on Tuesdays and Wednesdays with no exceptions.
