IT Asset Management Specialist II

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning of IT and operational technology (OT) assets
• Manage warranties, service agreements, and vendor relationships
• Aid with lifecycle planning, including forecasting replacement cycles and end-of-support milestones
• Support vendor relationships and assist with agreement administration
• Apply working knowledge of ITAM processes and execute on multiple assignments

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in information technology, computer science, procurement, or related curriculum (or equivalent combination of experience and education)
• 2 to 5 years of IT asset management procurement, or related experience in a large company environment

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of ITAM standards and best practices and asset management databases and systems
• Superior customer service skills
• Good organization and task management skills
• Analytical thinking to interpret and work on multiple data sets to improve data accuracy and support decision making across ITAM and related modules
• Basic financial cost saving skills
• Effective communication skills (both verbal and in writing), ability to translate technical topics into easy-to-understand concepts, and clear documentation of technical processes
• Ability to ask direct and logical questions to determine problem causation and follow documented processes to a successful resolution
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Knowledge of ServiceNow hardware asset management (SAM) module
