IT Asset Management Associate

About the role

Central single point of contact (SPOC) for managing IT assets (DaaS & Non-DaaS) across the USA and Canada. The role covers inventory, logistics, vendor coordination, and lifecycle management for laptops, desktops, printers, factory PCs/devices, and spare parts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the central SPOC for IT asset management (DaaS & Non-DaaS) across USA & Canada
• Manage end-to-end asset lifecycle: procurement → deployment → tracking → disposal
• Maintain accurate asset inventory in ITSM/CMDB tools
• Handle receiving, shipping, and tracking of devices and spares across locations
• Monitor stock levels and trigger hardware/spare ordering (DaaS & Non-DaaS)
• Coordinate device imaging, staging, and deployment readiness
• Act as SPOC for logistics coordination with warehouses, sites, and vendors
• Manage vendor/OEM coordination for hardware break-fix issues
• Track and manage warranty status (in-warranty & out-of-warranty)
• Provide basic troubleshooting support for laptops, printers, and peripherals
• Execute secure asset disposal and maintain compliance records

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of IT Asset Management experience, including end-user hardware and software, tracking, reporting, lifecycle management, and attention to detail
• 2 to 3 years of experience with ITShop, ServiceNow, and CMDB
• Experience with vendor consolidation and logistics management
• Valid US work authorization (Cognizant will not offer visa sponsorship now or in the future)
