IT Asset Management Administrator
About the role
The IT Asset Management Administrator is responsible for the daily administration and operational execution of the IT asset management (ITAM) program across a distributed healthcare environment. This role ensures that hardware assets are accurately tracked, maintained, and compliant throughout their lifecycle to support clinical operations, regulatory requirements, and cost control objectives.
Responsibilities
- Execute day-to-day lifecycle management of IT assets, including procurement intake, deployment tracking, transfers, and retirement activities.
- Maintain accurate asset records within ITAM systems (e.g., ServiceNow), ensuring completeness, correctness, and timeliness of data.
- Reconcile asset inventories by coordinating with Service Desk, IT Implementations, Endpoint Engineering, and other technical teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Support IT asset audits, compliance checks, and reporting activities to meet internal policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, HITRUST, financial controls).
- Aid in tracking asset utilization, lifecycle status, and depreciation data to support financial reporting and planning.
- Generate and distribute standard operational reports and dashboards on asset inventory, compliance, and lifecycle status.
- Follow established ITAM processes and contribute to process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide customer support and act as a point of contact for asset-related inquiries from internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 2–4 years of experience in IT asset management, inventory management, or related IT operations role in a mid-to-large enterprise.
- Working knowledge of ITAM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, SCCM, JAMF, Lansweeper, or similar platforms).
- Understanding of IT hardware lifecycle, inventory control, and asset tracking practices.
- Familiarity with procurement workflows, receiving processes, and asset tagging standards.
- Strong attention to detail with ability to manage large datasets and identify discrepancies.
- Basic understanding of compliance, audit, and financial tracking requirements related to IT assets.
- Effective communication and coordination skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications
- ITIL Foundation or ITAM certification is a plus.

Pay
$60,000.00 - $79,900.00 annually.
