Primary locations for job responsibilities:
- Kennesaw campus: 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144
- Marietta campus: 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060
About the Role
This position supports UITS communications and organizational change management efforts while developing practical, hands-on skills in a professional IT environment. It contributes to campus engagement, service awareness, and the communication of technology changes, helping build understanding and adoption of IT services across the university. This is an apprenticeship within Kennesaw State University Information Technology Services (UITS) and does not guarantee permanent employment with the University.
Responsibilities
- Promotes UITS at orientations, events, and activities on both campuses, including New Student Orientations during the summer and as needed throughout the academic year (availability typically Tues-Friday, 12-3 p.m., with occasional weekends)
- Supports Organizational Change Management (OCM) efforts by helping develop awareness materials and communication assets for new systems, technology updates, and service changes
- Works with UITS staff to create and update digital and print materials that communicate IT services, initiatives, and upcoming technology changes
- Provides administrative and project support for the UITS Communications and Organizational Change Management teams
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided

- Currently enrolled student seeking a degree

- Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time while meeting assigned deadlines

- Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (e.g., Microsoft Office suite, Canva)

Pay
The budgeted hourly range is $12.50, $15.00, or $16.50 per hour, based on relevant experience.
