IT Analyst III
Classification Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. About the role
Serve as Project Manager and lead an application team in the development and support of software solutions in support of clinical, educational, and research initiatives. This position plans, coordinates, prioritizes, and supervises team activities such as setting project goals, designing and implementing project plans, and identifying resources necessary for the implementation of current systems and future upgrades, expansions, or integrations.
Serve as liaison between multiple hardware and software vendors, staff, and faculty to ensure systems properly integrate and meet the needs of customers. Work with faculty, staff, and students to identify current and developing technical solutions to ensure maximum efficiency and quality patient care.
The position, along with IT Manager or Director, will develop policies and procedures and maintain support documentation. Designs, implements, upgrades, and supports software programs and applications, including configuring, scripting, integrating, and documenting software specifications throughout the project life cycle.
Ensure projects are completed in a timely and accurate fashion and provide support and communication to other departments where required. The position provides support for service requests and is the point of escalation for complex or unresolved issues. Work with other IT teams to oversee, plan, monitor, secure, and maintain hardware and software.
Provide summary reporting to management and college leadership and represent the UF Health Information Technology department in customer meetings. Provide training, guidance, and direction to Analyst I and Analyst II team members through excellent coaching skills and team leadership. Assist with the management of Analyst I and Analyst II members to fulfill tasks, goals, and initiatives established by the IT Manager and/or IT Director.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, prioritize, and supervise team activities for software development and support.

- Identify technical solutions to improve efficiency and quality of patient care.
- Develop policies, procedures, and support documentation alongside IT management.
- Design, implement, upgrade, and support software programs and applications.
- Configure, script, integrate, and document software specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure timely and accurate project completion and provide cross-departmental support.
- Handle service requests and escalate complex or unresolved issues.
- Oversee, plan, monitor, secure, and maintain hardware and software with other IT teams.
- Provide summary reporting to management and represent the IT department in customer meetings.
- Train, guide, and direct Analyst I and Analyst II team members.
- Assist in managing Analyst I and Analyst II members to fulfill IT goals and initiatives.
Requirements

Preferred Qualifications
- Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience working or supervising in a customer service environment.
- Experience working with small project development teams.
- Knowledge of applications, project management, database, networking, or web technology.
- Knowledge of dental and medical terminology.
Pay
Expected salary: $86,000 - $96,000
