About the role
The IT Administrator Senior - Systems plays a crucial role in providing enterprise support, planning, designing, maintaining, and implementing services within specified technical disciplines. They assist and support IT employees to resolve technology development and integration issues and accommodate growth and expansion. They ensure adherence to performance, security, and operations requirements of specific assigned systems, function as the technical expert and project lead over assigned systems, employees, and teams.
Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Governance and Lifecycle Management
- Develops, implements, and maintains standards, processes, and procedures for monitoring, managing, and maintaining infrastructure.
- Collaborates with project managers and technical services teams to identify and mitigate problems and incidents with the infrastructure and services.
- Maintains responsibility for monitoring, managing, and maintaining the infrastructure.
- Maintains the infrastructure through proactive patching, lifecycle replacement, and routine maintenance.
- Ensures maintenance downtime is communicated and change management procedures are followed.
- Provides technical support for the infrastructure.
- Collaborates with support operations, development, and customers to resolve infrastructure-related incidents and problems.
- Participates in scheduled on-call rotation for after-hours support.
- Serves as the escalation point for complex or high-impact incidents.
- Collaborates with IT Supervisor and team members to derive solutions that achieve business objectives.
- Reviews infrastructure and services to ensure a high-quality product is delivered.
- Sets priorities and assigns work items to other employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer systems or related area; AND
- Four years of responsible technical experience in enterprise infrastructure related discipline, including two years of lead worker experience; OR
- Any satisfactory combination of work, education, training, or experience relevant to the position, as determined by Marion County.
Additional Requirements
- Current driver's license in the applicant's state of residence.
- Pass a criminal history background check.
- This is a full-time position, not eligible for overtime.
- Typical work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., with flexibility depending on department needs.
Physical Requirements
- Operates a motor vehicle.
- Sits, stands, bends forward, lifts up to 50 lbs., pushes/pulls up to 25 lbs., moves carts up to 100 lbs., operates a keyboard, speaks clearly, reads a 12 pt. font, distinguishes colors and shades, hears a normal level of speech, works in areas exposed to dust and blood/body fluids.
