About the role
Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a Senior IT System Administrator, you will join Turnberry's Data Strategy and Intelligence practice and service. This service provides insights into company data, advanced analytics solutions, robust data governance, and tailored solutions for specific data challenges.
Responsibilities
- Lead the management of our Public Cloud environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline cloud operations and reduce manual tasks
- Enhance our cloud security posture by implementing best practices and monitoring tools
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud processes, configurations, and procedures
- Lead cloud engineering initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy, manage, and monitor cloud-based applications and services in Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud
- Design, configure, and maintain virtual machines, storage accounts, and other cloud resources
- Drive automation of cloud operations using tools like Terraform Enterprise, GitHub, and Azure Policy
- Implement and enforce cloud security practices to safeguard our data and infrastructure
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and services
- Stay updated with the latest Azure and Oracle Cloud features and industry trends to recommend improvements and optimizations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, preferably in Azure and/or Oracle Cloud
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates, or similar)
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to lead technical initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
- Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect)
Pay
The salary range for this role is $110,000 to $155,000 or the hourly equivalent. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, and certifications.
