IT Administrator II
About the role
TEKsystems' client is seeking an IT Administrator II to provide hands-on desktop support and technical assistance across the Kansas City headquarters and multiple manufacturing and office locations within an assigned territory. This individual will serve as a key technical resource for end users, support IT initiatives and projects, and build strong relationships with local site leadership and employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in desktop support, excellent customer service skills, and the professionalism necessary to support all levels of the organization, including executive leadership when needed. This is a Permanent position based out of Kansas City, KS.
Responsibilities
- Provide desktop and deskside support for end users
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, and connectivity issues
- Support both Windows and MacOS environments
- Manage and resolve tickets through the support queue
- Assist with onboarding and technology deployment for new hires
- Support board meetings, annual meetings, and executive technology needs
- Participate in IT projects and infrastructure initiatives
- Travel to assigned locations to provide onsite support and technology assessments
- Build strong relationships with site contacts and local leadership
- Identify and resolve technology issues proactively across supported locations
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/IT/related field - OPTIONAL WITH ENOUGH EXPERIENCE
- 3-5+ years of desktop or deskside support experience
- Experience supporting Windows environments
- Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting MacOS environments
- Executive or "white glove" support experience
- Experience supporting users in both office and manufacturing environments
- Experience supporting multiple locations or remote sites
- Exposure to project-based IT work
