About the role
This is a support position to ISO Services, responsible for supervision of fabrication, installation, and repair of piping, steel structure, and associated equipment.
Qualifications
Requires a High School Diploma or G.E.D, successful completion of training requirements as outlined by ISO Services, effective communication and organizational skills, and:
- Minimum four (4) years pipe welding or fitting experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of supervision experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of rigging and/or crane operation experience
- Tank repair experience would be beneficial
Responsibilities
The Mechanical Foreman will be responsible for:
- Hands on management of construction jobsite resources (people, subcontractors, materials, tools, equipment) with focus on installation of structural steel, piping, and equipment
- Daily identification and mitigation of jobsite hazards
- Providing daily reporting to project management
- Following policies and practices as stated in the Employee Handbook and other facility policy and procedure manuals
- Maintaining a clean and well-organized workspace at all times
- Striving to develop good working relationships with all co-workers, customers, and associates
- On call duties as required
- Working per OSHA standards
- Travel and overnight stay for several weeks at a time
- Other miscellaneous duties as requested
Physical Requirements
The candidate must be able to:
- Lift a minimum of 50#
- Walk long distances
- Work in high places (no fear of heights)
- Work in any environment (heat, cold, rain)
- Physically work up to 84 hours a week, if necessary
- Stand for an extended period of time
- Bend, stoop, squat, twist, reach and climb
- Work in confined spaces
- Be well-groomed
