The Senior Scientific Specialist, Archaeology will serve as a research archaeologist and an author/editor for archaeological excavation reports. The position is based in Champaign, Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Conduct archaeological fieldwork and laboratory analysis
• Author and edit excavation reports
• Collaborate with other researchers and stakeholders
• Advise on archaeological methods and techniques

Requirements

• PhD in Archaeology or related field
• Experience conducting archaeological fieldwork and laboratory analysis
• Strong writing and editing skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications

• Knowledge of archaeological methods and techniques
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with archaeological report writing and editing

Skills

• Proficiency in GIS and other relevant software
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
