Overview
ACS Professional Staffing is seeking an IS Project Manager I to work on-site with their client. This role is responsible for planning and coordinating large-scale projects with minimal supervision, ensuring compliance with organizational procedures and standard processes.
Responsibilities
- Maintains detailed, well-organized documentation and provides periodic status updates as required.
- Stays current with new developments and emerging technologies.
- Makes recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
- Establishes project priorities.
- Directs project team activities.
- Manages project budgets.
- Collaborates with other project and line managers to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED and an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in a technology or business discipline, with 1-5 years of progressively increasing responsibility in a professional environment, including at least 2 years of project management or program oversight experience, at least 1 year of budget management, and at least 1 year in a technical position.
- OR an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university and 10 years of progressively increasing responsibility in a professional environment, including at least 2 years of project management or program oversight experience, at least 2 years of budget management, and at least 2 years in a technical position.
- OR 12 years of progressively increasing responsibility in a professional environment, including at least 3 years of project management or program oversight experience, at least 3 years of budget management, and at least 2 years in a technical position.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Strong leadership skills to build and lead cohesive cross-departmental teams.
- Strong analytical skills to identify issues and problems, gather relevant information, and evaluate alternative courses of action.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment by weighing options and making decisions based on factual information and rational assumptions, while considering organizational goals and resources.
- Demonstrated communication, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to establish goals, set priorities, and maintain awareness of interrelationships among activities.
