About the role
This job reviews, analyzes, and modifies systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support Epic systems. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives while relying on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Responsibilities
- Performs analysis of assigned applications and business processes/functions
- Modifies and supports assigned applications/systems as appropriate
- Partners and communicates with assigned customers/end users
- Maintains and enhances professional competencies and industry knowledge
- Other related duties as required
- Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent (required)
- Additional degrees, business training experience and/or certifications (preferred)
- 2 years of IT experience OR 1 year of Epic experience OR Bachelor’s degree
- Epic Certification (required)
Skills
- Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally
- Proficiency with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role, and keyboard
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
Physical and Environmental Demands
- Very Heavy Work - Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue and no requirement to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid
- No occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases
