About the role
An Irrigation Technician is able to foresee potential problems and have the specialty skills needed to solve them. Careful planning and the ability to anticipate issues are qualities which BrightView particularly value. People with your mindset and proactive work-style, are just what our customers expect.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and test new installations
- Diagnose and repair irrigation system issues
- Observe and evaluate pipe and valve placements
- Evaluate start-ups, winterization, and overall operation of the irrigation system
- Conduct and record detailed inspections
- Plan and execute upgrades of client systems
Requirements
- Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor certification (preferred but not required)
- Minimum of 5 years’ irrigation experience
- Experience with two-wire irrigation systems
- Knowledge of irrigation principles and practices such as soil to water and plant relationships
- Proficiency using diagnostic tools such as: multimeters, flow meters, fault finders, locators, and leak detectors
- Able to read blueprints
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft office software programs and mobile electronic devices
- Good knowledge of trenchers, multi-meters, wire locators, ditchers, and pipe sizing
Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred but not required)

Pay
The pay range for this role is $22.00 - $27.00 per hour based on previous applicable experience as well as licenses/certifications you hold.
