About the role

An Irrigation Technician is able to foresee potential problems and have the specialty skills needed to solve them. Responsibilities

  • Maintain and test new installations
  • Diagnose and repair irrigation system issues
  • Observe and evaluate pipe and valve placements
  • Evaluate start-ups, winterization, and overall operation of the irrigation system
  • Conduct detailed inspections and plan/execute upgrades of client systems

Requirements

  • Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor certification (preferred but not required)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ irrigation experience
  • Experience with two-wire irrigation systems
  • Knowledge of irrigation principles and practices such as soil to water and plant relationships
  • Proficiency using diagnostic tools such as: multimeters, flow meters, fault finders, locators, and leak detectors
  • Able to read blueprints
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office software programs and mobile electronic devices
  • Good knowledge of trenchers, multi-meters, wire locators, ditchers, and pipe sizing

Pay

The pay range for this role is $22.00 - $27.00 per hour based on previous applicable experience as well as licenses/certifications you hold.
