Irrigation Technician

About the role

The Masters Lawn & Pest is seeking an Irrigation Technician to manage the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems for our residential and commercial properties. Ideal candidates should have two-wire system expertise, advanced electrical diagnostics, and proven valve troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently troubleshoot, service, and repair commercial and residential irrigation systems.
• Use diagnostic tools to solve complex electrical and hydraulic issues efficiently.
• Clearly document all repairs, recommend system improvements, and communicate professionally with property managers.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of dedicated irrigation experience, preferably in commercial settings.
• Solid understanding of system components (valves, controllers, sprinklers) and water conservation practices.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a sharp attention to detail.
• A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency with Hunter ACC2/ICD and Rain Bird ESP-LXIVM systems.
• Complete comfort using a multimeter, wire locator, and valve locator.
• Ability to program commercial controllers, build customized water schedules, adjust run times, and diagnose communication faults.
• Mastery of matched precipitation, nozzle selection, head spacing, and high-pressure PVC mainline/lateral repairs.

Pay

Pay Rate: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour (dependent on diagnostic expertise).
